KWIK College is incorporated in accordance with the laws of Rwanda to provide educational services as an Institution of Higher Learning. The overarching goal of the College is to make a positive contribution to national development through human resource development with particular focus on disciplines typically offered in a business school – such as accountancy, business finance, taxation, business laws, and related disciplines.

CTA
Certified Tax Advisor

The Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) is a post-graduate programme designed for persons aspiring to become tax professionals. The programme equips students with knowledge, skills, values, and competences in taxation, that is necessary to work as tax consultants on matters of tax policy, tax administration, international taxation, and advisors to taxpayers on various aspects of tax compliance and planning. The CTA programme is examined and awarded by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), and has been accredited by Uganda’s National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) at level 8 of the National Qualifications Framework.

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) is designed for persons who aspire to work as professional accountants, auditors, finance managers, tax managers, or specialist consultants in these disciplines. The programme is examined and awarded by Kenya Accountants & Secretaries Examinations Board (KASNEB).

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

  • Our CPD programmes provide a convenient way for professionals to update their knowledge in tax matters – ranging from tax laws, tax declarations, tax accounting, tax audit, tax appeals, professional ethics, running a tax advisory firm, to the relatively complex matters of tax planning.

 

  • Typically, the duration of a CPD event ranges between 8 hours to 2 days of full-time engagement, either through online webinars or on-campus attendance at the College premises or other suitable venue.
